Knoema Data Site

Always on the look-out for accessible data, I was interested to see this recent post on the Guardian's DataBlog site. It discusses a new site, Knoema, that was launched last month. They have a blog, that I'm adding to my blogroll.

We'll see how this all develops.

  1. Hi Dave. You should also check out datamarket.com which has a lot more free data than Knoema.

  2. Dear Dave,

My name is Olga, I work in Knoema. It's been a while since you posted about Knoema, and it has changed a lot: we launched World Data Atlas with the statistics on any country and any region from all around the world on more than 1000 indicators, collected way more world and regional data, added new visualization tools like TreeMap or Ranking etc. Today we can say that Knoema is the largest repository of public data with 100+ M time series, 3000+ datasets and more than 1B data points.
If you still keep an eye on Knoema, it would be much appreciated to get a feedback from you.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards,
    Olga
